High Protein Berry Smoothie Recipe for Busy Mornings
Most days start early for me. Between work, the gym, and everything else that fills the day, I need something simple that helps me hit my protein goals without turning breakfast into another complicated task.
That’s where this smoothie comes in. I drink some version of it almost every day. It’s quick to make, nutrient dense, and keeps me full for hours. Without it, consistently hitting my protein targets would be much harder.
This is less of a trendy “wellness smoothie” and more of a practical solution, something that supports my routine without demanding much time.
Why I Make It
Protein is one of the easiest things to fall short on, especially when mornings are rushed. A smoothie solves that problem quickly.
Between the yogurt, kefir, protein powder, and collagen, this one delivers a strong protein foundation while still tasting good enough that I actually want to drink it.
The frozen berries add fiber and antioxidants, while the cocoa powder gives it a rich flavor that makes it feel a little indulgent.
It’s simple, consistent, and it works.
My Daily Protein Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
½ cup Greek yogurt
½ cup full-fat kefir
1 scoop protein powder
1 scoop collagen powder
½ cup frozen strawberries
1 cup frozen blueberries
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Stevia or Monk Fruit to taste (optional)
Splash of organic coconut water (to help blend)
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a blender.
Pour in a small splash of coconut water to help everything blend smoothly.
Blend until creamy and fully combined.
Pour into a 25 ounce insulated bottle and enjoy.
What I Drink It From
I also pay attention to what I drink it from. I use a stainless steel–lined bottle instead of plastic. If I’m putting the effort into choosing organic ingredients, grass-fed whey protein, and collagen, it makes no sense to mix that into something I’m going to drink out of plastic every day. Small choices compound over time. Using stainless steel is simply another way I stay consistent with the same principle that shapes the rest of my routine: if something is going into my body daily, I want the container to meet the same standard as the ingredients inside it.
Why I Like This Combination
This smoothie hits a few goals for me at once:
High protein to support recovery and muscle maintenance
Probiotics from the kefir and yogurt
Fiber and antioxidants from the berries and cocoa
Healthy routine that fits easily into a busy morning
Most importantly, it’s something I can make quickly and consistently. And when it comes to nutrition, consistency matters far more than novelty.
